Company and Apprentice Company are for the experienced performer seeking the challenge of perfecting their art through intensive training and numerous performance opportunities. Throughout the year, members will perform in musical productions, cabaret performances, concerts with the BYPC Company Ensemble, musical revues, community performances, and recording sessions.

All Company and Apprentice Company members are required to attend the class/rehearsal time as designated on the class schedule. In addition to the Company Class, Company members are required to enroll in Theatre Jazz, Ballet/Floor Barre, and private voice. Tap class is strongly recommended. In addition to the Apprentice Company Class, Apprentice Company members are required to enroll in Acting III (class is included in apprentice co class and fee) and group or private voice. Tap class is also strongly recommended. Sight reading and theory workshops series are also required for both Company and Apprentice Company members – these are 4 – 6 week one hour classes held throughout the year. Master classes and workshops will be offered throughout the year with the opportunity to attend the classes and workshops as well as to be invited to small group discussions with the guest artists. Opportunities to attend professional musical theatre productions and to meet members of the casts will also be offered (tickets will be available at an additional fee). Past Company and Apprentice Company members have met the casts of “A Chorus Line” on Broadway, “Drowsy Chaperone” on Broadway, “Wicked” Boston Touring Company, “Contact” North Shore Music Theatre, “Finding Nemo - The Musical” Walt Disney World, and “Beauty and The Beast” Walt Disney World.

Company and Apprentice Company members will be provided the opportunity to perform at BYPC’s Mardi Gras with BYPC’s Company Ensemble, at BYPC’s Gala Performance, and in two Broadway musical productions. Our Mardi Gras, Gala, and one musical theatre production are required. Additional performing opportunities may become available.

Company and Apprentice Company members may be invited to perform on location. Past members have performed at Walt Disney World, Macy’s Day Thanksgiving Day Parade, cruise ships, and music festivals as well as local community performances. Community service, mentoring, and outreach is at the heart of this program providing each accomplished Company member the opportunity to share their gifts in a truly meaningful way.
