GROWING GIFTS THROUGH DANCE
BYPC Dance: IMPORTANT INFO
Good solid technique can be achieved only through regular attendance and performance. Each program is designed to cultivate the performer in each student through sequential and progressive levels. Our instructors demand discipline, commitment, and focus from students; in turn, students gain personal confidence, increased self-esteem, and learn important life lessons including the value of a positive attitude and the positive results achieved through hard work.
DANCE ATTIREProper dance attire is required for all classes. Leotards and tights are recommended. A running short is also acceptable. Please understand that these requirements are necessary in order for instructors to identify and correct alignment and technique. No baggy clothing, please. Hair and bangs must be secured and off the neck.
Hassle-free RecitalsOut of respect and consideration for our students and their families, two end-of-year recitals are held on the same day each Spring: an afternoon recital for pre-schoolers and an evening recital for older dancers. Each recital is a 90-minute celebration of our students, their work, and the friendships and fun they've experienced throughout the year.
Recitals are completely hassle free and pressure free:
- Students are notified of the date, time and venue of a recital months in advance.
- Performances share a common theme, are low key, and pressure free; dancers are encouraged to relax, have fun, and enjoy the process. Pre-schoolers waiting to go on stage enjoy a boredom-busting back-stage party that includes crafts, games and songs!
- Rehearsals are held once and are an hour long, on average.
- A one-time recital fee covers all costume and production costs.
- Each student dancer receives two free tickets and a free DVD of the recital.
- Tickets can be purchased at our office any time.
- Recitals are held at a venue just minutes from BYPC studios.
