Creative Kids Mission Statement

Creative Kids is an arts integrated preschool dedicated to growing the gift within each child. Our individualized curriculum allows children to learn naturally by respecting their distinctive learning styles and responding to their individual developmental needs in an environment rich with music, dance, and theatre.

Creative Kids is a state licensed preschool offering programs for children ages 2 - 6. Our individualized curriculum is rich in language, music, dance, theatre, and culture as well as science, math, and social sciences. Healthy social and emotional development is the cornerstone of our curriculum in which we foster autonomy, responsibility, self respect and respect for others. Creative Kids Preschool provides the structure for your child to grow and the freedom to become who they are meant to be.

Creative Kids 2’s - The First Year*

Creative Kids 2’s is designed for two-year-olds who are attending school for the very first time. The program offers a gentle welcoming to school and a breadth of activities that provide children with new and wondrous experiences. With a 5:1 student teacher ratio, the children are encouraged to explore the world around them through both free play and teacher-guided activities. We nurture each child’s social and emotional development by encouraging autonomy, communication, and smooth transitions from one activity to another. We work toward building positive self-esteem in children by assisting the development of their physical and cognitive skills.

At Creative Kids 2’s, children enjoy a warm and loving atmosphere that was created with their special needs in mind. Children may attend one, two, three or five days per week. If your two-year-old attends one day, he / she will receive either a music or a dance class. If your child attends two or more days, he / she will receive both a music class and dance class. The classes are taught by BYPC music and dance faculty.

Creative Kids Ages 3 - 6 Years*

Creative Kids for children ages 3 - 6 is an individualized arts-integrated program in a multi-aged classroom. The curriculum is responsive to individual needs and learning styles. The children play, explore, discover, and learn within a program that balances structure and freedom, thus enabling them to grow and thrive.

Creative Kids is an academically rich program. Each child’s skills are assessed and a program is designed to help him / her develop strong cognitive, social, and physical skills. An individualized curriculum includes music and dance for the children attending two days; and music, dance, and theatre for children who attend the program three or more days. Additional arts classes are available for children enrolled in our extended day program.

Creative Kids ages 3 - 4 may attend two, three, or five days per week. Creative Kids ages 5 - 6 must attend five days per week. An extended day program (1:00 pm. – 1:45 p.m.) offers additional arts classes taught by BYPC faculty. Classes include Puppetry, Acting, Creative Kids Performing Chorus, Music Makers on Violin, Gymnastics, Ballet, Jazz/Tap Combo.
